Biography:
I started my IT career in 1996 as a help desk technician at a small organization in Hutchinson, KS. One year later I was promoted, some would think demoted, to network administrator. I never cared to much for help desk so it was a wonderfull change. I learned a lot due to the fact that my test environment was my production environment. I learned from the multitude of mistakes I created. In fact I was responsible for bringing down an Exchange server...watch out for those trojans. I started with a NT 4.0 network and left a 2003 network in my wake.

In 2004 I accepted a position at a medium sized organization as the director of IT. I thought this is great a huge pay check and a nice title all at the age of 29. I soon figured out that politics are involved with a career like this and on week 2 I hated my job. The job basically consisted of managing employees and paper work which I did not care for. I like to get my hands dirty. Heck I only saw the server room about 5 times. So before one of my employees stabs me in the back I thought I should get out, not only that but my personal life was starting to get affected. So within 6 months I was out looking for a job.

That same year I applied at New Horizons of Wichita as a technical trainer. I had a few certificates under my belt (MCSE 4.0 and MCSE 2000). I was told ramp up on MCSE 2003 as I had a class in a few weeks. CRAM, CRAM, CRAM and I thought good lord I miss the days of help desk. Passed my exams and started my first class. Of course the class went horrible in my opinion...I was too nervous, but I absolutely loved it. Those of you who sat in that class; THANK YOU.

Today I am still a trainer and doubt I will ever do anything else, besides contracting. I still look back at my first day and can't believe I am where I am. Consider me lucky.

My story is an open book. If you want to know more get with me.
