New Site is up...again.

Due to a transition at work I am now hosting my site and email over at live.com. I didn't want to pay for business internet at home; had other obligations. However the domain/site/email is free using there service and well you can't beat free in this economy. However there is a problem at my house. Since my internal domain is called geeeker.com and live.com uses geeeker.com as its website (you have no control over this), my site gets redirected to my domain controller. This leaves me with only one option rename the domain...yuck. If I ever get time, I will attempt this without destroying the domain :) Till then cya.

SharePoint Designer and there is no web named ""

I was working with SharePoint Designer the other day and suddenly when opening a sharepoint site I got an error message "there is no web named """. Of course google didn't help...sorry i mean bing didn't help. The only close thing I came up with was this site (http://fnoja.blogspot.com/2009/04/error-there-is-no-web-named-when.html) but alas it wasn't my sql server as I had 100GB free.

Finally out of frustration I ran iisreset /noforce on my SharePoint server. This seemed to fix the sharepoint designer error.

I still do not have any idea of why or how this happened. If anyone can shed light on the scenario it would be most appreciated.
